Singers
Adam Sensamaust
Tenor, Keezletown, VA
Adam's first formal musical experiences began when he was a member of the children's choir at Park View Mennonite Church. He sang with this choir from first grade until sixth grade. His musical interests developed as he learned to play the piano in elementary school and clarinet in middle school. Two additional years of piano in high school helped to strengthen Adam's understanding of music theory. While at Spotswood High School he taught himself to play the guitar and nose flute and became the lead singer and guitarist of a band. His band played at local coffee houses and other events around Harrisonburg, VA.
While attending Eastern Mennonite University Adam continued his musical growth by singing in both the University Chorale and Chamber Singers. Adam's grandfather led both of these choirs as the chairman of the music department at Eastern Mennonite College in the late 1960s. Adam has also enjoyed singing with the adult choir at his home church, Park View Mennonite Church.
Adam graduated from Eastern Mennonite University in December of 2003. He earned a degree in The Liberal Arts and certification to teach Pre-K through 3rd grade.
The most recent and exciting event in Adam’s life was his marriage to the beautiful and talented Sarah Sensabaugh. After their wedding Adam and Sarah joined their last names of Maust and Sensabaugh to form the new last name, Sensamaust. Adam and Sarah are currently living in Keezletown, Va.
Sarah is writing and editing articles for the Mine Action Information Center at James Madison University. Adam is teaching Pre-Kindergarten at Plains Elementary School in Timberville, VA.
